Croc terrestrial locomotion

Tom Holtz was sending this video round of late. It’s something I have seen before, but is well worth sharing as it shows of the variety of gaits types and locomotory systems that a single animal can adopt (if less extreme than some of these). So thanks Tom for the reminder and enjoy.

Its pretty wild to think that while its using all those different gaits its still using a (motion dependent) ‘piston’ to ventilate its lungs, seems like the pressures and motions inside the body are going to be so completely different in belly crawling versus wild galloping, etc.
