Dino Dino Dream Park

The IVPP has collaborated (or perhaps ‘colluded’ might be better) with a exhibitions company to bring the ‘Dino Dino Dream Park’ to Beijing for the summer. This is a large exhibit on show by the Olympic Park (you can see the Bird’s Nest through the haze behind the tyrannosaur) and combines numerous life reconstructions with various IVPP specimens and casts (primarily dinosaurs, but also some more recent mammalian material) and a 3-D cinema with a video about the discovery and excavation of the Tyrannosaurus known as Sue. It’ll only be here for a month or so and then might well go on tour. Sauropod fans can see material not normally mounted (like Shunosuaurs and Omeisaurus) so if you are around it might be worth a trip.
