Stegosaurs – *this* is what armour looks like

Sorry, no time for proper posts so have a real armoured dinosaur – a rather well ossified ankylosaur.

    Love it! That’s the Mesozoic panzer in person. Beautiful photo. I wouldn’t have wanted to be on the wrong end of that animal when it was alive – either charging or swinging its tail! Come to think of it, which is the right end?

      I don’t think there’s any doubt the “right end,” from a predatory perspective, was the anterior. With ceratopsids it was the reverse of course.

    Thanks for the photo. I don’t think I’ve ever seen pictures of Euoplocephalus’s fossils so this is a real eye opener for me.
